Bonsai is the Japanese art that works with trees “planted in a shallow container “. The art originated from the Chinese discipline of “Penjing” as far back as the 6th century, stretching the history of Bonsai to well over a millennia.
Who We Are
The Cape Fear Bonsai Society, established in 2001, is a group of men and women who meet monthly to study and practice the art of Bonsai.
The club has an active program of training through workshops, guest speakers, and a sharing of collective Bonsai expertise. Membership is open to both the novice and the more experienced practitioner of Bonsai. You are invited to come on by, join in, and get some dirt under your fingernails!
